![]() Heatsink on that toggle switch is actually surprisingly accessible for my thumb with hands on the throttle (I have large hands) and generally feels a bit more natural. I also use that for kill warrant scanner for the same reason. ![]() I always have Discovery scanner set to secondary fire, and as that's a long pull-and-hold command, usually executed when I first jump into a system while pulling hard G's around a star, I didn't want it mapped to a button that would end up with a lot of force on it (for wear and tear), which is why I ended up using the most accessible throttle hand button. Hardpoints aren't ever a really big one for me as I'll get that ready long before actually being in the thick of combat (even defensive interdictions have a good couple of seconds between dropping supercruise before anything happens). I was kinda mapping most things with a mindset of keeping those reserved for the most critical functions and didn't initially map many of them at all. Then open up your game controller applet and open the properties of the x56. Yeh I must admit my biggest uncertainty is how to use the most prominent buttons.
